My family has a unique tradition of popping "crackers" after a holiday meal.
Crackers are a Brittish holiday tradition. They are cardboard tubes filled with: 1> paper crown 2> riddle or joke 3> a prize/trinket. The tubes are wrapped in giftwrap and tied at each end with tape or string. There is a strip of paper that runs through the tube, and by pulling the strip of paper apart it makes a snapping sound. Therefore, the name cracker.
This past Christmas our family was really whooping it up. These pictures were taken about 2 bottles of wine later. We had a great time disecting our crackers and utilizing almost every bit possible.
